To set the clock, press and hold the 'Clock' button until the hour digits flash. Use the 'Tuning' buttons to set the hour and press 'Clock' again to set the minutes. Repeat the process for minutes and confirm by pressing 'Clock' once more.
First, check if the power cord is securely connected to both the device and the power outlet. Ensure the outlet is functioning by testing it with another device. If using batteries, ensure they are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge.
Extend the antenna fully and adjust its position for better reception. Avoid placing the unit near electronic devices that might cause interference. If indoors, try moving the unit closer to a window or to a higher location.
Use a cotton swab moistened with isopropyl alcohol to gently clean the tape heads, capstan, and pinch roller. Allow the components to dry completely before using the tape deck again.
Ensure the CD is clean and free of scratches. Inspect the CD tray for any debris or obstructions. If the problem persists, try using a lens cleaning disc to clean the laser lens.
To reset the unit, disconnect it from the power source and remove the batteries. Wait for a few minutes, then reconnect the power and reinsert the batteries. This will reset the unit to its default settings.
The Sony CFD-64 does not have an output for external speakers. It is designed to be used with its built-in speakers only.
Open the battery compartment located on the back of the unit. Remove the old batteries and insert new ones, ensuring they are aligned with the correct polarity as indicated in the compartment. Close the compartment securely.
The Sony CFD-64 is compatible with standard audio cassette tapes, including Type I (normal bias) and Type II (high bias) tapes. Avoid using metal tapes (Type IV) as they are not supported.
Insert a blank cassette tape into the tape compartment. Tune to the desired radio station, then press the 'Record' button along with the 'Play' button to start recording. Press 'Stop' to end the recording.
