To reset the Sony CDX-828 to its factory settings, press and hold the reset button located behind the faceplate for about 5 seconds. This will restore the default settings and clear any custom settings.
If the CD player is not reading discs, try cleaning the CD and the player’s lens with a soft, dry cloth. Ensure the disc is not scratched or damaged. If the issue persists, it may require professional servicing.
The Sony CDX-828 supports auxiliary input. Use a 3.5mm AUX cable to connect your smartphone to the AUX input on the front panel of the unit. Select the AUX mode to play music from your smartphone.
Ensure that the volume is turned up and the mute function is not activated. Check all speaker connections and wiring for any disconnections or damage. Also, verify that the audio source is properly selected.
To set the clock, press and hold the 'Select' button until the setup menu appears. Use the volume knob to scroll to the clock setting option. Adjust the hours and minutes using the seek buttons, then press 'Select' to save.
