To load CDs, press the 'Open' button to slide out the disc tray. Place each CD into an available slot with the label side facing up. Once all CDs are loaded, press the 'Close' button to return the tray.
Ensure the CD is clean and free from scratches. If the issue persists, try cleaning the CD player's lens with a suitable cleaning disc. If the problem continues, the lens might need professional servicing.
Use the 'Program' function on the remote control or front panel. Select your desired tracks by entering their respective slot numbers, and press 'Enter' after each selection. Once finished, press 'Play' to start playback in the programmed order.
Regularly clean the exterior with a soft, dry cloth. Use a lens cleaning disc occasionally to keep the optical lens free from dust. Keep the unit in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and high humidity.
Check the connections between the CD player and the amplifier or speakers. Ensure all cables are firmly connected and not damaged. Try playing a different CD to determine if the disc itself is the issue.
To reset the device, turn off the power. Then, while holding the 'STOP' button, turn the power back on. This will restore the player to its original factory settings.
The Sony CDP-CX100 is compatible with standard audio CDs and CD-Rs. It does not support CD-RWs, MP3 CDs, or any other digital formats.
Use the 'Memo' function to label each disc. Select a disc, press the 'Memo' button, and use the input buttons to enter a name or description. This label will display each time the disc is selected.
The carousel might be obstructed or misaligned. Ensure that no foreign objects are blocking its path. If the issue persists, consult the manual for instructions on realignment or contact a professional technician.
Use RCA audio cables to connect the 'Audio Out' jacks on the CD player to the 'Audio In' jacks on your receiver or amplifier. Ensure that the left and right channels are correctly connected.
