To start the tractor, ensure that the parking brake is engaged and the PTO is off. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the 'Start' position. Hold it until the engine starts, then release.
If the tractor won't start, check the battery connections, ensure the fuel tank is not empty, and verify that the spark plug is in good condition. Also, make sure the seat switch is functioning properly.
It is recommended to change the oil after the first 5 hours of use and then every 50 hours of operation or once per season, whichever comes first.
Use SAE 30 oil for temperatures above 32°F (0°C). For temperatures below 32°F (0°C), use 5W-30 or 10W-30 oil. Always refer to the owner’s manual for specific recommendations.
To adjust the cutting height, locate the cutting height lever on the tractor. Move the lever to the desired position to set the cutting height according to your preference.
Check for a bent or damaged blade, ensure all mounting hardware is tight, and inspect the belt for wear. Balancing the blades might also resolve excessive vibration issues.
Keep the battery terminals clean and free of corrosion. Check the electrolyte levels regularly and charge the battery before storing the tractor for long periods.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, and add a fuel stabilizer to the tank. Disconnect the battery and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the tractor to protect it from dust and moisture.
Ensure the tire pressures are equal, the mower deck is level, and the blades are sharp and properly installed. Adjust the deck height if necessary to achieve even cutting.
Regularly check and change the oil, clean or replace the air filter, inspect the spark plug, and lubricate moving parts. Also, check tire pressure and the condition of belts and blades.
