Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of operation or annually, including oil change, air filter cleaning, and checking tire pressure.
Check the fuel level, battery charge, and ensure the spark plug is clean. Also, verify the safety features such as the seat switch and blade engagement lever are in the correct position.
Use SAE 30 oil for general use. For colder climates, SAE 10W-30 may be more appropriate. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific recommendations.
Adjust the cutting height by using the lever located on the right side of the mower. It allows you to choose between several preset positions.
Inspect the mower blades for damage or imbalance, check the belt tension, and ensure all mounting bolts are tightened securely.
First, disengage the mower deck and remove it. Then, release the belt tension and slip the belt off the pulleys. Install the new belt following the same path.
Clean the tractor thoroughly, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, and store the tractor in a dry place with the battery disconnected. Inflate tires to the recommended pressure.
Keep the engine properly tuned, ensure air filters are clean, maintain the correct tire pressure, and use the appropriate grade of fuel.
Always wear protective eyewear, avoid mowing on wet grass, and never let children operate the tractor. Ensure all safety features are functioning correctly.
Park the tractor on a flat surface, adjust the deck links on both sides to ensure equal height from the ground, and check with a gauge for precision.
