Ensure the drill is on a stable surface and all components are securely attached. Check that the power cable is undamaged, and the drill bit is properly tightened in the chuck.
Turn off the drill immediately to prevent damage. Use pliers to gently remove the bit. Check for obstructions or material hardness before resuming work.
Lubricate the moving parts every 40 hours of use or monthly, whichever comes first, to ensure smooth operation and prevent wear.
After each use, clean the drill with a dry cloth, check for any loose parts, and store it in a dry place. Routinely inspect the power cable for damage.
Use the drill intermittently, allowing it to cool down between intervals. Ensure proper ventilation around the motor and avoid overloading the drill.
Disconnect the drill from the power source. Use the chuck key to loosen the chuck, remove the old bit, insert the new bit, and then tighten the chuck securely.
Check if the power outlet is functional. Inspect the power cable for cuts or damage and ensure the switch is in the 'on' position. Consider testing with a known working outlet.
Always wear safety goggles and gloves. Ensure the work area is clear of obstructions. Keep the drill cord away from the drilling area to prevent entanglement.
Use a center punch to mark the drilling spot. Secure your workpiece with clamps, and ensure the drill is aligned perpendicular to the work surface.
Immediately stop using the drill and disconnect it from the power source. Allow it to cool down, then inspect the motor and wiring for any visible damage before consulting a professional.
