Rotax DS 650 Baja 2003 Operator's Guide

Use a high-quality 4-stroke motorcycle oil with a viscosity of 10W-40 or 10W-50, formulated for wet clutches.
It's recommended to change the oil every 25 hours of operation or at least once per season.
The recommended tire pressure is 4 psi for the front tires and 5 psi for the rear tires.
Check the battery charge, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and ensure there is fresh fuel in the tank. Also, check for any loose connections in the ignition system.
Regular maintenance includes oil changes, air filter cleaning, checking and adjusting the chain tension, inspecting the brakes, and lubricating the throttle and clutch cables.
To adjust the chain tension, lift the rear of the ATV and measure the chain slack at the midpoint. Adjust the chain adjusters to achieve a slack of approximately 1-1.5 inches.
Stop the vehicle and allow it to cool down. Check the coolant level and inspect the radiator for blockages. Ensure the fan is operational and avoid running the engine at high RPMs for extended periods.
Performance can be improved by upgrading the exhaust system, installing a high-flow air filter, and re-jetting the carburetor for optimal air-fuel mixture.
The recommended spark plug for the Rotax DS 650 Baja 2003 is an NGK DCPR8E or equivalent.
Remove the air filter from the airbox, wash it with a mild detergent, rinse it thoroughly, allow it to dry completely, then apply a light coat of air filter oil before reinstalling.
