To clean the induction hob, first ensure it is completely cool. Use a soft cloth or sponge with a mild detergent to wipe the surface. For stubborn stains, use a specialized hob cleaner and a non-abrasive scraper. Avoid abrasive pads or cleaning agents.
Ensure the cookware is compatible with induction cooking. Check if the cookware is centered on the cooking zone and if the zone is set to the correct power level. If issues persist, verify that the appliance is plugged in and check the circuit breaker.
Before performing any maintenance, ensure the oven is switched off and completely cool. Regularly check and clean the oven door seals, and remove any debris from the bottom. For a thorough cleaning, remove and wash the oven shelves and trays separately.
To reset the cooker, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the power supply for a few minutes. Reconnect and switch it on again. This can resolve minor electronic glitches.
Use cookware that is specifically labeled as induction-compatible. These often have a flat, magnetic base. Stainless steel and cast iron are generally suitable, while copper, glass, and aluminum are not unless they have a magnetic layer.
Press the timer button, then use the plus and minus buttons to set the desired time. Confirm the setting by pressing the timer button again. The timer will count down and alert you when the time has elapsed.
Ensure the oven racks are correctly positioned and not too crowded. Check if the fan is functioning in fan-assisted modes. If the problem persists, the thermostat or heating element may need inspection by a technician.
Aluminum foil can be used to line trays to catch drips but should not touch the oven's heating elements or sides. Avoid covering the oven base or blocking air vents, as this can affect cooking performance and safety.
To activate the child lock, press and hold the lock button for a few seconds until the lock symbol appears on the display. This will prevent accidental activation of the hob. To deactivate, repeat the process until the symbol disappears.
A humming noise is normal and typically occurs when using high power levels or with certain types of cookware. It is caused by the vibration of the magnetic fields. If the noise is excessive, try using thicker cookware or lower power settings.
