To install the tap, first ensure that the water supply is turned off. Remove the old tap if necessary, and clean the sink surface. Fit the new tap into the mounting hole, secure it underneath using the provided fixings, and connect the water supply hoses. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
If the tap starts leaking, first check the connections underneath the sink to ensure they are tight. If the leak is from the spout, it may be necessary to replace the O-rings or internal cartridges. Make sure to turn off the water supply before attempting any repairs.
To clean the tap, use a soft cloth and mild soapy water. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers as they can damage the brushed finish. Rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth to prevent water spots.
If the water pressure is low, check that the supply valves are fully open. Also, inspect the aerator on the spout for any blockages or mineral build-up, and clean it if necessary. If the problem persists, consult a plumber as there may be an issue with the home’s plumbing system.
The Rangemaster Aquaclassic 2 is designed for high-pressure systems. For optimal performance with low-pressure systems, ensure the minimum pressure requirement specified in the product manual is met. Consider installing a pump if necessary.
To replace the cartridges, first turn off the water supply. Remove the handle by loosening the grub screw underneath. Unscrew the cartridge cover and remove the old cartridge. Insert the new cartridge, reassemble the tap, and turn the water supply back on.
The water temperature is controlled by the mixing of hot and cold water within the tap. Adjust the temperature by moving the handle to the left or right. For more precise control, check that the water heater settings are correct.
Regularly clean the tap to prevent build-up of limescale and dirt. Check all connections and components for wear and replace any faulty parts immediately. Periodically, inspect the aerator and cartridges and clean or replace them as needed.
The model number of your Rangemaster tap can usually be found on the original packaging, in the installation manual, or sometimes on a label on the tap itself. If these are unavailable, contact Rangemaster customer service for assistance.
If the handle is stiff, it may be due to mineral deposits or a worn cartridge. Turn off the water supply, remove the handle, and check for build-up. Clean any deposits and consider replacing the cartridge if necessary. Lubricate moving parts with a suitable plumber's grease before reassembly.
