To set up the Pup Alert, first insert the required batteries into the battery compartment. Then, position the sensor in the desired location, ensuring it is within range of the area you wish to monitor. Adjust the angle of the sensor for optimal detection.
The Pup Alert Motion Sensor Alarm T8475 requires three AA batteries. It is recommended to use high-quality alkaline batteries for best performance.
To test the motion sensor, activate the alarm and move within the sensor's range. If the sensor is working correctly, the alarm will sound when motion is detected.
If the alarm does not sound, check the batteries to ensure they are installed correctly and have sufficient charge. Verify that the sensor is properly positioned and not obstructed.
The Pup Alert does not have adjustable sensitivity settings. However, you can change the sensor's position or angle to cover the desired area more effectively.
The Pup Alert is designed for indoor use only. Using it outdoors may expose it to elements that can damage the device.
To turn off the alarm, simply switch off the device using the on/off switch located on the unit. Ensure the switch is in the 'off' position to deactivate the alarm.
The motion sensor on the Pup Alert has an effective range of approximately 15 feet (4.5 meters) and a detection angle of about 90 degrees.
False alarms can occur if the sensor is placed near moving objects like curtains or plants. Ensure the sensor is placed in a stable location away from drafts or vibrations.
Regularly check and replace the batteries as needed. Keep the sensor clean and free from dust or debris that might obstruct its operation. Store the device in a cool, dry place when not in use.
