To program a new remote, insert the key into the ignition and turn to the 'ON' position. Press and hold the valet button until the system chirps. Press the button on the new remote you wish to program. The system will chirp again to confirm successful programming.
First, ensure the remote's battery is functional. If the problem persists, check the immobilizer's fuse and wiring connections. Reprogram the remote if necessary, following the user manual guidelines.
To reset the system, disconnect the car battery for about 10 minutes. Reconnect the battery and turn the ignition to the 'ON' position without starting the engine. The system should reset.
Check if the immobilizer's LED indicator is flashing, indicating an error. Ensure the immobilizer is correctly disarmed and verify that the starter relay and connections are intact. Consult a professional if the issue persists.
To temporarily disable the immobilizer, locate the valet button and press it while turning the ignition to the 'ON' position. This will bypass the system until the ignition is turned off again.
Valet mode allows the vehicle to be operated without the security features being active, convenient for service or valet parking. Activate it by pressing the valet button with the system disarmed.
Regularly inspect the system every six months for battery health, wiring integrity, and ensure the remote functions correctly. Perform a full system test annually.
The PWD206 is designed to integrate smoothly with vehicle electronics. However, improper installation can cause issues. Ensure all wiring is properly shielded and connected according to the manual.
The PWD206 provides anti-theft protection through engine immobilization, remote locking/unlocking, and an alarm system that triggers during unauthorized entry or tampering.
While a technically savvy individual might install the system using the manual, hiring a professional ensures proper installation and avoids potential issues with vehicle electronics.
