Before each ride, check the tire pressure, oil level, brake function, and ensure that all nuts and bolts are secure. Inspect the air filter and clean if necessary.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke engine oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications, typically a 10W-40 oil for moderate conditions.
Check the air filter every 25 hours of operation. Clean and replace it as needed, especially if you use the vehicle in dusty conditions.
For the first 10 hours, avoid full throttle, vary the speed, and avoid prolonged operation at a constant speed to ensure proper engine break-in.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, verify the spark plug is in good condition, and see if the engine is getting fuel.
Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain tension using the adjusters on the swingarm, and then retighten the axle nut securely.
Routine maintenance should be performed every 50 hours of operation or every 6 months, whichever comes first. This includes oil changes, checking brakes, and inspecting the drive chain.
Clean the vehicle, change the oil, add fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store in a dry place. Cover it to protect from dust and debris.
Stop the vehicle immediately, check the coolant level, and allow the engine to cool. Inspect the radiator for obstructions and ensure the fan is operational.
Consider upgrading the air filter and exhaust system for better airflow, and ensure the vehicle is properly maintained for optimal performance.
