For optimal performance, use Polaris VES Full Synthetic 2-Cycle Engine Oil. It is specifically designed for Polaris engines and will ensure smooth operation.
It is recommended to inspect and potentially change the spark plugs every 1,000 miles or at the start of each season to maintain efficient engine performance.
Store your snowmobile in a dry, cool place. Use a cover to protect it from dust and debris. It's also advisable to add fuel stabilizer to the tank and disconnect the battery to prevent drainage.
First, check the battery for charge and connections. Ensure the fuel is fresh, and inspect the spark plugs for wear. If problems persist, consult the owner's manual or a professional technician.
Perform an oil change, inspect the drive belt, check the brakes, and ensure all bolts are tightened properly. Lubricate the suspension and steering components, and check the coolant levels.
To adjust the track tension, elevate the rear of the snowmobile and measure the track deflection. Adjust the tension bolts equally on both sides of the track until the correct deflection is achieved according to the owner's manual.
During the first 10 hours, avoid prolonged full-throttle operation and vary the engine speed. This helps ensure the engine components seat properly.
Maintain regular servicing, including air filter cleaning and proper track tension. Avoid carrying unnecessary weight and ensure the carburetor is tuned correctly.
Check the brake fluid level and inspect the brake lines for leaks. If necessary, bleed the brake system to remove any air bubbles.
Remove the clutch guard, then release the tension on the belt by squeezing the secondary clutch. Slide the old belt off and place the new belt over the clutches, ensuring correct alignment. Reinstall the clutch guard.
