To perform an oil change, warm up the engine, remove the drain plug, and let the oil drain completely. Replace the oil filter, reinstall the drain plug, and fill the engine with the recommended oil type and quantity.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, and verify that the kill switch is in the 'run' position. If the problem persists, inspect the spark plug and fuel system for issues.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 50 hours of operation or every six months, whichever comes first. Refer to the owner's manual for specific service intervals and tasks.
It is recommended to use a 50/50 mixture of antifreeze and distilled water specifically designed for aluminum engines. Polaris offers their own branded coolant that is designed for optimal performance.
Check the coolant level, inspect the radiator for obstructions, and ensure the cooling fan is operational. If the problem continues, examine the thermostat and water pump for potential malfunctions.
