Regular maintenance should be performed every 50 hours of use, or at least once a season, whichever comes first. This includes checking and changing the oil, inspecting the air filter, and checking the brakes.
It is recommended to use Polaris PS-4 5W-50 oil for optimal engine performance and protection.
First, check the battery to ensure it is charged and the connections are clean and tight. Next, inspect the fuses and ignition switch. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a Polaris dealer.
If your RZR stalls, check the fuel level and ensure the fuel is fresh. Inspect the air filter for blockages and check for any error codes on the display. If the problem continues, seek professional assistance.
Remove the air filter from its housing and use compressed air to blow out any dirt and debris. If the filter is excessively dirty, consider replacing it with a new one.
The recommended tire pressure for the Polaris RZR Trail S 1000 is 12 PSI for all tires. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
To adjust the suspension, locate the shock absorbers and use the preload adjuster to increase or decrease the tension. Consult the user manual for specific settings based on your riding conditions.
Inspect the brake pads and rotors for wear every 100 hours of use. Replace any worn components and ensure the brake fluid is at the correct level.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance is performed, keep tire pressure at recommended levels, and avoid aggressive driving. Remove unnecessary weight and ensure the air filter is clean.
If the RZR overheats, stop immediately and allow the engine to cool. Check the coolant level and inspect the radiator for any blockages. Ensure the cooling fan is functioning properly.
