To set up your Polaris P5500, begin by connecting the power supply to a suitable outlet. Attach the floating cable to the power supply, and then place the cleaner into the pool, ensuring it's fully submerged. Turn on the power supply, select the desired cleaning cycle, and let the P5500 begin its work.
If the Polaris P6500 is not starting, check that the power supply is properly connected and turned on. Ensure the floating cable is securely attached. Inspect the power supply for any error codes and refer to the user manual for troubleshooting tips related to those codes.
It's recommended to clean the filter canister of the Polaris P5500 after each cleaning cycle to maintain optimal performance. Simply remove the canister, rinse it with water to clear debris, and then reinstall it.
The Polaris P6500 is designed for in-ground pools. Using it in above-ground pools is not recommended as it may not perform effectively or could cause damage to the cleaner or pool structure.
During the off-season, store the Polaris P5500 in a cool, dry place. Clean the unit thoroughly, remove any debris, and drain all water. Coil the cable loosely to prevent tangling and inspect the cleaner for any parts that may need replacement or repair.
Check the filter canister for clogs and ensure it's clean. Inspect the brushes and tracks for wear and replace if necessary. Verify that the power supply is set to the correct cleaning cycle for your pool size and shape.
The Polaris P5500 does not have a built-in scheduling feature. You must manually start the cleaning cycle each time you wish to use it.
Ensure the filter canister is clean and free of debris. Check for any blockages in the intake ports and clean the brushes. Make sure the floating cable is not tangled, which could affect the cleaner’s movement and suction.
If the brushes appear worn, frayed, or have lost their shape, it's time to replace them. Additionally, if the cleaner is not climbing walls effectively, this could indicate that the brushes are not making proper contact and need replacing.
Using extension cords with the Polaris P6500 power supply is not recommended as it can lead to voltage drop and affect the cleaner's performance. Always use the power supply within the reach of its provided cable length.
