Polaris 600 Rush, 600 Rush Pro R Owner's Manual

For the first 10 hours of operation, avoid prolonged full-throttle operation. Vary the throttle to allow parts to seat properly. After the break-in period, perform a complete inspection and an oil change.
Check the battery voltage to ensure it is fully charged. Verify that the fuel is fresh and the fuel lines are clear. Inspect the spark plugs for wear or fouling and replace if necessary.
Use Polaris-engineered VES (Variable Exhaust System) full synthetic 2-stroke oil for optimal performance and protection.
The chaincase oil should be changed every 1,000 miles or at the start of each season, whichever comes first.
Stop the engine immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and make sure the radiator is not blocked with debris. If the problem persists, contact a Polaris dealer.
Clean the snowmobile thoroughly, stabilize the fuel, remove the battery and store it in a cool, dry place, and cover the snowmobile to protect it from dust and debris.
Consult the owner's manual for specific suspension settings. Typically, adjustments can be made to the shock preload and compression for better ride comfort and handling.
Ensure the engine is well-tuned and the air filter is clean. Use the recommended oil and fuel, and avoid unnecessary idling. Riding at moderate speeds can also improve efficiency.
Look for signs of wear such as fraying, cracking, or glazing. If the belt slips or squeals during acceleration, it may need replacement.
Ensure the track is tensioned according to the specifications in the owner's manual. Adjust the tension by loosening the rear axle bolts and turning the adjuster bolts until the proper tension is achieved.
