Ensure the ignition key is in the "ON" position, pull the choke lever if the engine is cold, and pull the starter handle briskly until the engine starts.
Use unleaded gasoline with a minimum octane rating of 87 to ensure optimal performance and engine longevity.
Check the fuel level, ensure the spark plug is clean and properly gapped, and verify that the ignition key is functioning correctly.
Perform regular maintenance every 1000 miles or at the start of each season, including oil changes, spark plug inspection, and belt condition checks.

Stop the engine immediately, allow it to cool, check the coolant levels, and ensure that the cooling fan is operational.
