The recommended oil type for the Polaris 120 2007 is SAE 10W-30 4-cycle engine oil.
The air filter should be inspected and cleaned every 20 hours of operation. Replace it if it shows signs of damage or excessive wear.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the axle nuts, adjust the chain tension using the adjusters, and then retighten the axle nuts. Ensure the chain has 1/4 inch of slack.
Check the fuel level, ensure the kill switch is in the run position, examine the spark plug for fouling, and inspect the battery connections.
Clean the machine thoroughly, stabilize the fuel, change the oil, disconnect the battery, and store it in a dry, covered location.
Adjust the throttle cable by loosening the jam nut and turning the adjuster until the desired tension is achieved. Retighten the jam nut.
The correct spark plug type is NGK CR7E, and the gap should be set to 0.028-0.031 inches.
Regular maintenance such as cleaning the air filter, ensuring proper tire pressure, and using the correct fuel can help improve fuel efficiency.
Check for loose components, inspect the drive belt for wear, and ensure the exhaust system is securely mounted. If the noise persists, consult a professional.
Regularly inspect the brake pads for wear, check the brake fluid level, and test the brakes before each use to ensure they engage smoothly.
