To reset the Onkyo TX-SR806 to factory settings, turn off the unit. Then, while holding down the "VCR/DVD" button, press the "ON/STANDBY" button. When "CLEAR" appears on the display, release both buttons.
Check to ensure that the receiver is not on mute and that the correct input source is selected. Verify speaker connections and try a different audio source to determine if the issue is with the receiver or the connected device.
The Onkyo TX-SR806 typically does not support firmware updates via USB or network. Please refer to the user manual for any update instructions specific to your model.
Ensure the receiver is well-ventilated and not overheating. Check speaker wires for shorts or loose connections, as these can cause the receiver to enter protection mode and shut down.
Use an HDMI cable to connect your TV to the "HDMI OUT" port on the receiver for the best audio and video quality. Ensure HDMI-CEC is enabled for better device control.

The Onkyo TX-SR806 does not have built-in Bluetooth. However, you can add Bluetooth capability by connecting a Bluetooth receiver to the "AUX" or another input port.
Check the batteries and replace them if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver. Try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing each button once.
Connect the streaming device to one of the HDMI inputs on the receiver. Switch the receiver to the corresponding HDMI input to access content from the streaming device.
