To reset the Onkyo TX SR605 to factory settings, first turn off the receiver. Then, while holding down the VCR/DVR button, press the ON/STANDBY button. When you see 'Clear' on the display, release both buttons. This will restore the receiver to its default factory settings.
Ensure that the speakers are properly connected and the correct input source is selected. Also, check if the receiver is set to the correct listening mode and that the volume is turned up. If using HDMI, ensure the cable is securely connected and the TV's audio output settings are correct.
To update the firmware on the Onkyo TX SA8560, connect the receiver to the internet. Press the 'Home' button, select 'Setup', then 'Hardware Setup', and finally 'Firmware Update'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update process.
The Onkyo TX SR605 does not have built-in Bluetooth support. However, you can connect a Bluetooth adapter to one of the available audio input ports to stream audio wirelessly.
To clean your Onkyo receiver, use a soft, dry cloth to wipe the exterior surfaces. Avoid using chemical cleaners or abrasives. Ensure the receiver is turned off and unplugged while cleaning. Regularly check and clean any dust from the ventilation openings to prevent overheating.
Connect your Onkyo TX SA605 to a TV using an HDMI cable. Connect one end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT port on the receiver and the other end to an HDMI IN port on your TV. Select the appropriate HDMI input on your TV to view the content.
To improve audio quality, ensure your speakers are correctly positioned and connected. Use high-quality speaker cables and consider calibrating the system using the built-in setup microphone and Audyssey technology (if available). Adjust the equalizer settings to suit your preferences.
'Protect' mode indicates a potential short circuit or overheating issue. First, turn off the receiver and disconnect all speakers and devices. Check for any loose wires or connections. Allow the unit to cool down, then reconnect everything and turn it back on. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
To set up a multi-zone audio system, connect speakers to the Zone 2 speaker terminals on the receiver. Use the 'Zone 2' button on the remote to control the audio in the second zone. Ensure the source input supports multi-zone output.
For HDMI issues, first check that all cables are securely connected. Ensure that the receiver and connected devices are powered on and set to the correct inputs. Try using a different HDMI cable or port to rule out hardware faults. Perform a power cycle by unplugging all devices and reconnecting them.
