To perform a factory reset on the Onkyo TX SR508, turn off the receiver. Then, press and hold the "VCR/DVD" button and, while holding it, press the "ON/STANDBY" button. The display will show "CLEAR," indicating the reset is complete.
First, check all connections to ensure they are secure. Verify that the correct input source is selected. Ensure that the speaker settings are configured correctly in the setup menu. If problems persist, try resetting the unit.
Ensure that the receiver is well-ventilated by placing it in an open area with at least 8 inches of clearance on all sides. Avoid stacking other devices on top of the receiver. Consider using a cooling fan if necessary.
