To reset your Onkyo TX L55 to factory settings, turn off the unit. Then, while holding down the 'VCR/DVD' button, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button. The display should show 'CLEAR', indicating the reset is complete.
Check if the speaker wires are connected properly. Ensure that the mute function is not activated and the correct input source is selected. If the issue persists, try performing a factory reset.
Download the latest firmware from the Onkyo website onto a USB drive. Insert the USB into the receiver's USB port, and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
