Connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT port on the receiver to an HDMI input on your TV. Ensure the TV is set to the input that matches the HDMI port used. Use the receiver's input selector to choose the correct source.
To calibrate your speakers, use the built-in test tone function. Access the speaker setup menu, select Test Tone, and adjust each speaker's level until they sound balanced from your primary listening position.
The Onkyo TX DS898 does not have built-in Bluetooth functionality. To connect a Bluetooth device, use an external Bluetooth adapter connected to one of the receiver's available inputs.
To clean the Onkyo TX DS898, use a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using any liquid or aerosol cleaners. Ensure that the receiver is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. Regularly check and clean the vent openings to prevent dust accumulation.
Connect the front left, front right, center, surround left, and surround right speakers to the corresponding terminals on the receiver. Access the speaker configuration menu, set the speaker type and size, and ensure the subwoofer setting is on if using one.
Ensure the receiver is placed in a well-ventilated area and not inside a closed cabinet. Check the vents for dust buildup and clean them if necessary. Allow the receiver to cool down before using it again. Consider using a cooling fan to improve airflow.
Verify that all HDMI cables are securely connected. Try using a different HDMI cable or port on the receiver. Ensure the input source on the receiver matches the HDMI input used. If issues persist, reset the receiver and check for any firmware updates for connected devices.
