Ensure the receiver is turned off. Connect the positive (+) terminal of the speaker to the positive terminal on the receiver, and the negative (-) terminal to the negative terminal on the receiver using speaker wire.
Place the speakers at ear level when seated, ideally forming an equilateral triangle with the listening position. Keep them away from walls to reduce bass distortion.
Check the speaker connections for secure attachment. Ensure the receiver source is set correctly and the volume is turned up. Test with different audio sources.
Regularly dust the speakers with a soft cloth and avoid exposing them to moisture or extreme temperatures. Periodically check connections for wear.
The Onkyo SKF 4700 speakers do not support bi-wiring or bi-amping as they have a single pair of binding posts.
Ensure the speaker wire is not damaged and connections are secure. Check the audio source and receiver settings for distortion. Reduce the volume to prevent overloading.
Remove the grille covers gently and clean them with a vacuum cleaner brush attachment or a lint roller. Avoid using water or cleaning solutions.
The speakers require an amplifier or receiver to power them, as they cannot be connected directly to a TV without one.
It is recommended to use an amplifier or receiver with a power output between 25-130 watts per channel for optimal performance.
If the speakers are out of phase, the sound may seem hollow or lacking in bass. Check that the positive and negative terminals are correctly connected on both the speakers and the amplifier.
