Onkyo HTP 693 Owner's Manual

To connect your Onkyo HTP-693 to a TV, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT port on the receiver to the HDMI IN port on your TV. Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input channel.
First, check if the receiver is powered on and the volume is turned up. Ensure all speaker cables are securely connected. Inspect the audio source and settings to confirm they are correctly configured.
To reset to factory settings, turn off the receiver. While holding down the CBL/SAT button, press the ON/STANDBY button. Release both buttons when 'Clear' appears on the display.
The Onkyo HTP-693 does not natively support Bluetooth. To add Bluetooth capability, use a Bluetooth adapter connected to the audio input.
Use the included calibration microphone and run the AccuEQ calibration process from the receiver's setup menu to optimize speaker settings for your room.
Keep the unit dust-free by wiping with a soft, dry cloth regularly. Ensure proper ventilation and avoid placing the unit near heat sources. Periodically check cable connections.
Check the batteries in the remote control and replace if necessary. Ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver. Try resetting the remote by removing the batteries and pressing all buttons.
The Onkyo HTP-693 supports a 5.1 channel setup. To add additional speakers, ensure they are compatible and connect them to the appropriate speaker terminals on the receiver.
Ensure there is adequate ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Check for any short circuits in the speaker wiring and inspect the power supply for stability.
