To connect your Onkyo HTP-590 to a TV, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT on the receiver to the HDMI IN on your TV. Ensure your TV is set to the correct HDMI input.
First, check that all cables are securely connected. Ensure the receiver is set to the correct input source and that the volume is turned up. Also, verify that the mute function is not activated.
To perform a factory reset, turn off the receiver. Then, press and hold the 'VCR/DVD' button, and while holding it, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button. This will reset the system to its default settings.
Use the built-in AccuEQ calibration feature by connecting the supplied microphone, placing it at your listening position, and following the on-screen instructions to optimize speaker levels and distances.
The Onkyo HTP-590 does not have built-in Bluetooth. You can use an external Bluetooth adapter connected to the receiver's available inputs to enable Bluetooth connectivity.
Check the batteries in the remote control and replace them if necessary. Also, ensure there are no obstructions between the remote and the receiver. If issues persist, try resetting the remote by removing the batteries, pressing all buttons, and re-inserting the batteries.
Check Onkyo's official website for any available firmware updates for your model. Follow the instructions provided, which typically involve downloading the update to a USB stick and connecting it to the receiver.
Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the exterior of the Onkyo HTP-590. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or solvents. For stubborn spots, slightly dampen the cloth with water.
Ensure all HDMI cables are securely connected and try different HDMI ports if available. You can also power cycle both the receiver and the connected devices. If problems persist, check for firmware updates.
Ensure that speakers are connected to the correct terminals and placed at optimal distances for the best sound experience. Use the AccuEQ feature for calibration and check that speaker impedance matches the receiver's specifications.
