To connect your Onkyo HT-S5300 to a TV, use an HDMI cable. Connect one end to the HDMI OUT port on the receiver and the other end to the HDMI IN port on your TV. Ensure both devices are powered on and select the correct HDMI input on your TV.
First, check that all speaker cables are securely connected. Ensure the receiver is set to the correct input source and that the volume is turned up. Also, verify that the 'Mute' function is not activated. If the issue persists, check the speaker configuration settings on the receiver.
To perform a factory reset, turn off the receiver. Then, while holding down the 'VCR/DVR' button, press the 'ON/STANDBY' button. The display should show 'Clear', indicating the factory reset is complete.
Visit the official Onkyo website to download the latest firmware for the HT-S5300. Follow the instructions provided to update via USB or directly from the receiver's menu if internet connectivity is available.
