Onkyo HT S3100, HT S3105 Instruction Manual

To connect your Onkyo HT-S3100 to a TV, use an HDMI cable to connect the HDMI OUT on the receiver to the HDMI IN on your TV. Ensure the TV is set to the correct HDMI input source.
Check if the receiver is properly connected to the speakers. Ensure the speaker wires are securely connected to both the receiver and the speakers. Also, make sure the receiver is set to the correct input source and that the volume is turned up.
To reset your Onkyo HT-S3105, press and hold the VCR/DVD button on the front panel while pressing the STANDBY/ON button. The display will show "Clear" indicating the reset is complete.
Use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe the exterior of the receiver. Avoid using any liquid cleaners or solvents. Do not allow any moisture to enter the unit.
The Onkyo HT-S3100 does not natively support wireless speakers. However, you can use a wireless speaker kit to connect wireless speakers to the system.
The "Protect" message indicates that the receiver has detected a short circuit or overload in the speaker connections. Turn off the receiver and check the speaker wires for any short circuits or loose connections.
The Onkyo HT-S3105 does not support firmware updates. Ensure your system is set up correctly and contact Onkyo support for any functionality concerns.
For optimal surround sound, set your speaker configuration to 5.1, adjust the speaker levels using the receiver's setup menu, and ensure the source material is encoded with surround sound.
First, replace the batteries in the remote control. Ensure there are no obstacles between the remote and the receiver, and try pointing the remote directly at the receiver. If it still doesn't work, try using the receiver’s front panel buttons to control the system.
Ensure the receiver is placed in a well-ventilated area with at least 4 inches of clearance on all sides. Avoid stacking other electronic devices on top of the receiver and ensure that the ventilation openings are not blocked.
