Nissan NSF4B Owner's Manual

Ensure the fuel tank is filled and the fuel line is connected. Set the throttle to the start position, pull the choke, and pull the starter rope firmly. Once the engine starts, gradually push in the choke and adjust the throttle.
Check the fuel supply and ensure the tank has fuel. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling. Verify that the kill switch is not engaged and the choke is properly set.
Regularly check and replace the engine oil, inspect the propeller for damage, clean the spark plug, and ensure the fuel system is free of leaks. Perform a thorough inspection every 100 hours or annually.
Drain the fuel system, change the engine oil, flush the engine with fresh water, and store in a dry place. Use a fuel stabilizer for any residual fuel.
Stop the engine immediately and check for water flow from the cooling system. Inspect the water pump impeller for wear and ensure the cooling passages are clear.
Inspect the spark plug every 100 hours and replace it annually or if there are signs of wear or fouling.
Use a high-quality 4-stroke marine engine oil with a viscosity rating of SAE 10W-30 or as specified in the owner's manual.
Locate the idle speed adjustment screw on the carburetor. Turn the screw clockwise to increase RPM or counterclockwise to decrease it, ensuring the engine runs smoothly at idle.
Check the fuel supply, inspect the air filter for blockages, and ensure the propeller is not damaged. Also, verify that the spark plug is in good condition.
Rinse the motor with fresh water after each use, especially in saltwater. Apply a protective anti-corrosion spray and store the motor in a dry environment.
