To check the engine oil level, place the motorcycle on a level surface and ensure the engine is off and cool. Remove the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, then remove it again to check the oil level. It should be between the minimum and maximum marks.
Use a high-quality 10W-60 synthetic motorcycle oil, which is recommended for optimal performance under various riding conditions.
The air filter should be inspected every 6,000 miles and replaced if necessary. It's recommended to replace it every 12,000 miles or sooner if you ride in dusty environments.
The recommended tire pressure is 36 psi for the front tire and 40 psi for the rear tire. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
First, check the battery connections and ensure they are clean and tight. Verify the battery is charged. Inspect the fuses and starter relay. If the issue persists, consult a professional mechanic.
To adjust the clutch lever, locate the adjustment wheel near the lever. Turn the wheel to adjust the free play to approximately 2-3 mm. Ensure the adjustment allows full disengagement of the clutch.
If the engine overheats, turn off the motorcycle immediately and let it cool down. Check the coolant level once the engine is cool and inspect for any coolant leaks. If the issue persists, seek professional assistance.
Brake fluid should be replaced every two years to maintain optimal braking performance. Always use DOT 4 brake fluid.
Inspect the belt for wear and proper tension every 6,000 miles. Clean the belt and pulleys with a mild soap solution and water. Replace the belt if it shows signs of cracking or fraying.
Regular maintenance includes checking and topping off fluids, inspecting the brake system, checking tire pressure, cleaning and lubricating the chain, and inspecting the lights and electrical system. Refer to the owner's manual for detailed intervals.
