To start a drying cycle, ensure the dryer is plugged in and the door is closed. Select the desired drying program using the program selector dial, then press the start button to initiate the cycle.
If the dryer is not heating, check if the thermal fuse has blown, inspect the heating element for damage, and ensure the power supply is adequate. Also, verify that the settings are correct and the lint filter is clean.
To clean the lint filter, open the dryer door and locate the filter at the bottom of the door opening. Pull it out, remove the lint by hand or with a brush, and then reinsert the filter securely before closing the door.
Error codes indicate specific issues with the dryer. Refer to the user manual for a list of error codes and their meanings to troubleshoot the problem accordingly.
It is recommended to clean the exhaust vent every six months to ensure efficient airflow and prevent lint buildup, which can lead to overheating.
Most fabrics can be dried in the dryer, but always check the care label on your garments. Delicate fabrics may require a lower temperature setting or air drying.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the lint filter after each use, inspecting and cleaning the exhaust vent periodically, and checking for any unusual noises or vibrations.
To prevent shrinking, use the appropriate heat settings for your fabric types. Consider using a lower heat cycle or removing clothes while they are still slightly damp and air drying them.
If the drum is not spinning, check if the drive belt is broken or loose, inspect the drum rollers for wear, and ensure the motor is functioning properly.
It is not recommended to leave the dryer running unattended due to the risk of fire. Always monitor the dryer while it is in use and ensure it is placed in a well-ventilated area.
