To ensure optimal cleaning, load dishes with the dirtiest surfaces facing the spray arms. Avoid overcrowding, and ensure that larger items do not block the detergent dispenser or spray arms. Place pots and pans on the lower rack and delicate items like glasses on the upper rack.
If the dishwasher is not draining, check for clogs in the drain hose or garbage disposal. Ensure that the drain hose is not kinked and clean the filter located at the bottom of the dishwasher. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact a professional technician.
To clean the filter, remove the bottom rack to access the filter assembly. Rotate the filter counterclockwise to remove it. Rinse the filter under running water and use a soft brush to remove debris. Reinstall the filter by aligning it and turning it clockwise until it locks in place.
Use high-quality dishwasher detergent in tablet, powder, or gel form. Avoid using regular dish soap as it can cause excessive sudsing. Ensure the detergent is suitable for the water hardness in your area for best results.
Ensure the dishwasher is properly plugged in and that the door is fully closed. Check the circuit breaker and make sure the water supply is turned on. If there is a delay start feature, ensure it is not activated. If the issue continues, consult the manual or a technician.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the filter, wiping down the door seals, and inspecting the spray arms for clogs. Run a cleaning cycle with dishwasher cleaner monthly to remove limescale and detergent buildup.
To adjust the rinse aid setting, open the rinse aid dispenser and use the adjustment dial to set the desired level. A higher setting increases rinse aid use, which can help with drying and preventing water spots.
Ensure that the rinse aid dispenser is full and adjust the rinse aid setting if necessary. Check that you are using the correct amount of detergent and that your water softener, if applicable, is functioning correctly.
To reset the dishwasher, turn it off by pressing the power button. Unplug the unit or switch off the circuit breaker for a few minutes. Restore power and turn the dishwasher back on. This can help resolve minor electronic glitches.
Check for loose items in the dishwasher that might be rattling. Ensure that the spray arms can rotate freely and that no items are obstructing them. Inspect the filter and drain pump for debris. If noises persist, contact a service technician for further inspection.
