To change the temperature settings, open the refrigerator door and locate the control panel. Use the arrows to adjust the temperature for the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Confirm your selection by pressing the 'OK' button.
First, check if the refrigerator is properly plugged in and the circuit breaker is not tripped. Ensure the vents inside the fridge are not blocked. If the issue persists, check the temperature settings or consult the user manual for further troubleshooting steps.
To clean the interior, first unplug the refrigerator. Remove all food items and shelves. Use a solution of mild soap and water to wipe down the interior surfaces, then dry with a clean cloth.
The Miele K 2612 Vi features a NoFrost system, which means manual defrosting is not required. However, if defrosting is needed, remove all items, unplug the appliance, and leave the freezer door open. Use towels to absorb water as the ice melts.
Locate the water filter compartment inside the refrigerator. Turn the filter counterclockwise to remove it. Insert the new filter and turn it clockwise until it locks in place. Run water through the dispenser for a few minutes to clear any air from the system.
Water leaks can result from a blocked defrost drain. Unclog the drain by flushing it with warm water. Additionally, ensure that the refrigerator is level and that food items are not obstructing the door from closing.
To activate energy-saving mode, press the 'Settings' button on the control panel. Navigate to 'Energy Saver' and press 'OK' to enable it. This mode reduces energy consumption by optimizing the cooling cycles.
Unusual noises can be due to the refrigerator not being level. Adjust the leveling feet to stabilize the appliance. If the noise persists, inspect the fan and compressor for any obstructions or defects.
It is recommended to clean the condenser coils every six months. Use a vacuum or a brush to remove dust and debris from the coils, which are located at the back or beneath the refrigerator.
It is not recommended to transport the refrigerator on its side as it can cause damage to the cooling system. If necessary, allow the refrigerator to stand upright for several hours before plugging it in to ensure the oil in the compressor settles.
