To start the McCulloch M 325 Blower, ensure it is on a flat surface. Set the choke to the closed position, press the primer bulb several times until you see fuel, and pull the starter rope with a firm, rapid motion. Once it starts, move the choke to the open position.
Use a mix of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a 40:1 ratio. Ensure the gasoline has an octane rating of at least 90.
Check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Verify that the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. Inspect the air filter for clogs, and ensure the choke and throttle are in the correct positions.
Power loss can be caused by a clogged air filter, dirty spark plug, or fuel line obstruction. Clean or replace these components as necessary.
Perform maintenance after every 25 hours of use or at least once a season. This includes cleaning the air filter, inspecting the spark plug, and checking for any fuel leaks.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug wire, remove the old spark plug with a socket wrench, and install a new, properly gapped spark plug. Reattach the spark plug wire securely.
Excessive vibration may be due to loose parts or debris lodged in the fan. Inspect the blower for any loose screws or bolts, and remove any obstructions from the fan area.
Drain the fuel tank and run the blower until it stops to remove any remaining fuel. Clean the exterior, remove debris, and store it in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
Always wear protective eyewear and ear protection. Ensure that bystanders, especially children, are at a safe distance. Never operate the blower in an enclosed space or while barefoot.
Adjust the carburetor by locating the adjustment screws on the side. Use a screwdriver to turn the screws slightly while the blower is running until it idles smoothly and accelerates without hesitation.
