McCulloch GBV 345 Operation's Manual

To start the McCulloch GBV 345 Blower, first ensure the blower is on a flat surface. Move the choke lever to the 'choke' position. Push the primer bulb 6 times. Pull the starter handle until the engine fires. Once it starts, move the choke lever to the 'run' position.
If the blower won't start, check the fuel level and ensure it's fresh. Inspect the spark plug for signs of wear or damage and replace if necessary. Ensure the air filter is clean. Finally, check the ignition switch and wiring.
To maintain the air filter, remove the air filter cover and take out the filter. Wash it with warm soapy water and allow it to dry completely. Apply a small amount of oil to the filter before reinstalling it. Replace the cover securely.
The McCulloch GBV 345 Blower requires a mixture of unleaded gasoline and high-quality 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 50:1. Always mix the fuel in a separate container before adding it to the blower.
For poor performance or loss of power, check the air filter and clean or replace it if necessary. Inspect the spark plug for wear or fouling. Ensure the fuel is fresh and the correct mixture. Check the muffler for blockage.
To replace the spark plug, disconnect the spark plug boot and use a spark plug wrench to remove the old plug. Set the gap on the new plug to the manufacturer's specification, insert it, and tighten securely. Reattach the spark plug boot.
To clean the fuel filter, first empty the fuel tank. Remove the filter from the fuel line inside the tank. Clean it with compressed air or replace it if it's clogged. Reinstall the filter and fill the tank with fresh fuel.
Regular maintenance should be performed every 25 hours of use or at the start of each season. This includes cleaning the air filter, checking the spark plug, inspecting the fuel system, and ensuring all nuts and bolts are tight.
It is not recommended to use the McCulloch GBV 345 Blower in wet conditions as moisture can damage the engine and electrical components. Always operate the blower in dry conditions for optimal performance and safety.
To store the blower safely, empty the fuel tank and run the engine until it stops to clear the carburetor. Clean the blower thoroughly and store it in a dry, secure place. Keep it away from direct sunlight and moisture.
