The recommended oil type for the KTM SX‑F 350 2019 is a high-quality synthetic 4-stroke engine oil with a viscosity grade of 10W-50.
It is advisable to change the engine oil every 10 hours of riding time under normal conditions. In more extreme conditions, such as racing, it might be necessary to change it more frequently.
The recommended tire pressure is approximately 12-14 psi for the front tire and 12-14 psi for the rear tire. Adjustments may be needed based on terrain and rider preference.
To adjust the suspension, you will need to adjust the preload, compression, and rebound settings on both the front fork and rear shock. Refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions and recommended settings based on your weight and riding conditions.
Check the battery to ensure it is charged, inspect the spark plug for fouling, verify that there is fuel in the tank, and ensure the kill switch is set to the run position. If the problem persists, consult a professional mechanic.
Remove the air filter from the airbox, clean it with a suitable air filter cleaner, rinse with water, let it dry, and then apply air filter oil before reinstalling it. Regular maintenance is crucial to ensure optimal engine performance.
The chain should have 8-10mm of slack on the upper chain section when the motorcycle is on a stand. This ensures optimal performance and reduces wear on the chain and sprockets.
Inspect the brake pads for wear, ensuring they have at least 1mm of material left. Check the brake fluid level and look for any leaks in the brake lines. Test the brakes to ensure they engage smoothly.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant that is specifically designed for motorcycles and offers adequate protection against freezing and boiling over.
Clean the motorcycle thoroughly, change the oil, drain the fuel or add a fuel stabilizer, disconnect the battery, and store it in a cool, dry place. Cover the bike to protect it from dust and moisture.
