To perform an oil change on the KTM EXC-F 350 2022, place the bike on a stand, remove the skid plate if present, and drain the oil by removing the drain plug. Replace the oil filter, reinstall the drain plug, and fill the engine with the recommended oil type and quantity.
The recommended maintenance schedule includes regular oil changes every 15 hours of riding, checking and cleaning the air filter after every ride, inspecting the chain tension monthly, and a comprehensive service check every 30 hours of use.
If the bike won't start, check the battery charge and connections, ensure the fuel is fresh, inspect the spark plug for wear or damage, and confirm that the kill switch is in the correct position.
For off-road riding, it is recommended to use a tire pressure of approximately 12 psi in the front tire and 12 psi in the rear tire, adjusting slightly based on terrain and rider preference.
To adjust the suspension, use the adjusters located on the front forks and rear shock. Compression and rebound can be tuned using the knobs and screws according to the manufacturer's guidelines and personal riding style.
The KTM EXC-F 350 2022 should use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant with corrosion inhibitors, mixed 50/50 with distilled water for optimal performance.
To replace the air filter, remove the seat, open the airbox cover, and remove the old air filter. Clean the airbox, install a new oiled filter, and reassemble the components.
Signs of a worn-out chain include excessive slack, visible rust, kinks, and uneven wear on the sprockets. Regularly inspect the chain for these signs and replace as needed.
To adjust the clutch lever, locate the adjustment screw near the lever and turn it to achieve the desired free play. Ensure the lever has about 10-15mm of free play for optimal performance.
If the bike overheats, stop immediately and let the engine cool. Check the coolant level, ensure the radiator is clean, and verify that the fan is functioning. Address any underlying issues before continuing to ride.
