The recommended engine oil for the KTM EXC-F 250 2023 is a high-quality synthetic 4-stroke oil with a viscosity of 10W-50.
It is recommended to change the oil every 15 hours of riding time or after every race, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 15 psi for both front and rear tires under normal conditions.
To adjust the suspension, use the clickers located on the top of the fork and the bottom of the rear shock. Refer to the owner's manual for baseline settings and adjust according to your riding style and terrain.
The break-in procedure involves riding at varying speeds and loads for the first 3 hours, avoiding high RPMs and full throttle operations to allow the engine components to seat properly.
Check the battery connections, ensure the fuel valve is open, inspect the spark plug for fouling, and make sure the kill switch is not engaged. If the problem persists, consult a professional technician.
Regular maintenance tasks include checking and replacing engine oil, inspecting air filters, checking tire pressure and tread, lubricating the chain, and inspecting brake pads and fluid levels.
Remove the air filter, wash it with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow it to dry completely. Re-oil the filter with a designated air filter oil before reinstalling.
Common signs include a squealing noise during braking, reduced braking performance, and visible thinning of the brake pad material.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain proper tire pressure, ensure regular engine maintenance, use high-quality fuel, and avoid excessive idling and aggressive riding.
