The KTM EXC 250 TPI 2018 uses a direct fuel injection system, so you do not need to premix fuel and oil. Make sure to use high-quality 2-stroke oil in the oil tank.
To maintain the air filter, remove it from the bike, clean it with a suitable cleaner, let it dry, and re-oil it before reinstalling. Regular checks after every ride in dusty conditions are recommended.
Check the battery charge, inspect the spark plug for fouling, ensure fuel is reaching the engine, and verify that the kill switch is not engaged.
It is recommended to change the transmission oil every 10 hours of riding or after a long ride for optimal performance and protection.
For off-road riding, a tire pressure of 12-14 psi is generally recommended, but this can vary depending on terrain and rider preference.
Adjust the compression and rebound damping settings on the forks and rear shock. Consult the owner's manual for baseline settings and adjust according to your weight and riding style.
Overheating can be caused by low coolant levels, a clogged radiator, or a faulty thermostat. Check these components and ensure proper airflow to the radiator.
To bleed the brakes, attach a clear tube to the bleeder valve, pump the brake lever, and open the valve to release air and old fluid. Ensure the reservoir is topped up with fresh brake fluid.
Use an NGK BR7ECM spark plug for the KTM EXC 250 TPI 2018 for optimal performance and reliability. Always check the gap before installation.
Remove the power valve cover, clean the components with a degreaser, and ensure all parts move freely. Reassemble and check for proper operation.
