The recommended oil for the KTM Enduro 690 R 2017 is a fully synthetic 10W-50 oil, suitable for high-performance 4-stroke motorcycles.
It's advised to change the oil every 6,000 miles (10,000 kilometers) or once a year, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 22 psi for the front tire and 25 psi for the rear tire when riding off-road. Adjust accordingly for on-road use.
Check the battery charge, inspect the spark plug for wear, ensure the fuel is fresh, and verify the kill switch is in the correct position.
Stop the engine immediately, allow it to cool down, check the coolant level, and inspect for leaks or obstructions in the radiator.
Loosen the rear axle nut, adjust the chain tensioner to achieve 5-7 mm of slack at the tightest point, and retighten the axle nut.
Regular maintenance includes oil changes every 6,000 miles, checking the brake pads every 3,000 miles, and inspecting the air filter every 1,500 miles.
Ensure regular maintenance, proper tire inflation, smooth throttle control, and avoid excessive idling to improve fuel efficiency.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant that is silicate-free and specifically designed for aluminum engines.
Remove the seat, locate the airbox, open the airbox cover, remove the old air filter, and replace it with a new one, ensuring it is seated properly.
