Ensure the charger is connected to a 230V AC outlet and connect the charging cable to the motorcycle's charging port. The LED indicators on the charger will show the charging status. Disconnect once fully charged.
Regularly check and tighten all bolts, inspect brake pads and fluid, check suspension settings, and lubricate chain every 10-15 hours of riding. Battery maintenance checks should be done every 50 hours.
Ensure the kill switch is in the 'Run' position, check the battery charge level, inspect fuse connections, and ensure the kickstand is up. If the issue persists, consult a KTM service center.
For optimal off-road performance, use knobby tires that provide good traction on loose surfaces, such as the Metzeler 6 Days Extreme tires.
Use the adjustment knobs on the front fork and rear shock to set the preload, compression, and rebound according to your weight and riding style. Refer to the manual for specific settings.
The maximum range on a full charge is approximately 1.5 hours of continuous riding, although this can vary based on riding conditions and rider weight.
It is not recommended to use a pressure washer as it may damage electrical components. Instead, use a mild detergent and low-pressure water to clean the motorcycle.
Locate the brake fluid reservoirs on the handlebars and inspect the fluid level through the sight glass. Ensure the fluid is between the minimum and maximum marks.
Refer to the owner's manual for error code descriptions. If the error code cannot be resolved with basic troubleshooting, contact a KTM service center for further assistance.
Currently, KTM does not offer an official battery upgrade for the E-XC Freeride 2018. Aftermarket solutions may be available but can void warranty and affect performance.
