KTM Duke 390 2017 Owner's Manual

The oil should be changed every 5,000 kilometers (approximately 3,000 miles) or once a year, whichever comes first. Always use the recommended engine oil grade.
It is recommended to use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant that is specifically designed for use in aluminum engines. Ensure it meets the necessary specifications outlined in the user manual.
Check the battery charge and connections first. Ensure the kill switch is set to 'Run'. If the issue persists, inspect the spark plug and fuel delivery system.
The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 32 psi for the rear tire. Always check the pressure when the tires are cold.
To adjust the chain tension, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters evenly on both sides, ensuring a slack of 5-7 mm (0.2-0.3 inches) at the midpoint, and then retighten the axle nut.
If the engine overheats, safely pull over, turn off the engine, and let it cool down. Check the coolant level and look for any leaks. If the problem persists, consult a KTM service center.
Maintain a consistent speed, avoid aggressive acceleration and braking, ensure proper tire pressure, and keep up with regular maintenance like oil changes and air filter cleaning.
Remove the seat and airbox cover, take out the air filter, and clean it with compressed air or wash it with mild soapy water if reusable. Let it dry completely before reinstalling.
To reset the service light, turn the ignition on, navigate to the service interval menu using the mode switch, and follow the prompts to reset the service interval.
During a routine maintenance inspection, check the engine oil level, coolant level, brake fluid level, tire pressure, chain tension, and ensure all lights and signals are functioning properly.
