The recommended engine oil for the KTM Duke 200 CO 2016 is a fully synthetic 15W-50 oil that meets JASO MA standards.
The engine oil should be changed every 5,000 kilometers or 3,000 miles, or once a year, whichever comes first.
The recommended tire pressure is 29 psi for the front tire and 32 psi for the rear tire.
Check the battery charge and connections, ensure the fuel level is adequate, and inspect the spark plug for fouling or wear.
To adjust the chain tension, ensure the motorcycle is on a paddock stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain using the adjuster bolts, and then retighten the axle nut. Ensure there is 5-7 mm of slack in the chain.
The air filter should be inspected every 5,000 kilometers and replaced every 10,000 kilometers, or more frequently if ridden in dusty conditions.
Common electrical issues include faulty wiring connections and blown fuses. Inspect the wiring harness for damage and replace any blown fuses with the correct amperage.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure regular maintenance such as timely oil changes and air filter replacements, maintain proper tire pressure, and adopt smooth acceleration and deceleration techniques while riding.
If the brakes feel spongy, check the brake fluid level and top it up if necessary. Bleed the brake lines to remove any air bubbles that may have entered the system.
Regularly inspect the suspension forks for leaks and proper operation. Clean the forks and check for any visible damage. It is also recommended to have the suspension serviced by a professional every 20,000 kilometers.
