To check the engine oil level, place the motorcycle on a level surface, warm up the engine for a few minutes, turn it off, and wait a few minutes for the oil to settle. Use the dipstick on the right side of the engine, remove it, wipe it clean, reinsert it without screwing it in, and then check the level. It should be between the minimum and maximum marks.
The recommended tire pressure for the KTM Duke 200 2020 is 29 psi (2.0 bar) for the front tire and 32 psi (2.2 bar) for the rear tire. Always check and adjust tire pressures when the tires are cold.
It is recommended to service your KTM Duke 200 2020 every 5,000 kilometers or 6 months, whichever comes first. This includes an oil change, checking the brake system, and inspecting other critical components.
Engine overheating can be caused by low coolant levels, a malfunctioning radiator fan, clogged radiator fins, or a faulty thermostat. Check these components and ensure the coolant is at the proper level.
To improve fuel efficiency, maintain a steady speed, avoid rapid acceleration and deceleration, keep your tires properly inflated, and ensure regular maintenance such as air filter cleaning and timely oil changes.
Use a high-quality ethylene glycol-based coolant that is specifically designed for use in aluminum engines. Refer to the owner's manual for the recommended coolant type and mixing ratio.
To adjust the chain tension, place the motorcycle on a stand, loosen the axle nut, adjust the chain adjusters equally on both sides until the chain has about 20-30 mm of slack, then tighten the axle nut and ensure the wheel alignment markers match.
If the battery is not charging, check the battery connections for corrosion or looseness, inspect the charging system fuse, and test the stator and regulator/rectifier. If the issue persists, consult a professional mechanic.
To clean the air filter, remove the seat and the airbox cover, take out the air filter, gently clean it with compressed air or wash it with mild soapy water, let it dry completely, and then reinstall it. Ensure proper sealing to prevent dirt ingress.
Difficulty starting in cold weather can be due to a weak battery, incorrect spark plug gap, or old fuel. Ensure the battery is fully charged, the spark plug is in good condition, and consider using a fuel stabilizer.
