To descale your Krups XP5620, fill the water tank with a mixture of water and descaling solution. Run the machine without coffee until the tank is empty, then rinse by running a full tank of clean water.
Ensure the water tank is full and properly seated. Check if the coffee grounds are not too fine and that the filter is clean. If the problem persists, try resetting the machine.
Inspect the water tank for cracks and ensure it is properly seated. Check the seals and gaskets for wear and replace if necessary. Clean any blocked water outlets.
Use fresh, high-quality coffee beans and grind them just before brewing. Ensure the machine is clean and descaled regularly. Adjust the grind size and coffee quantity to taste.
Regularly clean the drip tray, water tank, and coffee grounds container. Descale every 3 months or as needed based on water hardness. Clean the milk frother after each use.
Fill a jug with cold milk and immerse the steam nozzle. Turn on the steam function and move the jug in circular motions until the milk reaches the desired frothiness.
Check the coffee grind size and use a finer grind for a stronger brew. Increase the amount of coffee used or try a different roast to adjust strength.
Ensure the steam wand is clean and not blocked. Check the water level in the tank. If the issue persists, descale the machine to remove any mineral buildup.
To reset, turn off the machine and unplug it. Wait a few minutes, then plug it back in and power it on. This may resolve minor software issues.
Remove the filter basket and rinse it under warm water. Use a soft brush to remove any coffee residue. Ensure it is completely dry before reassembling.
