To preheat the Korona 46221 Grill, plug in the appliance and set the desired temperature using the temperature control. Allow the grill to heat for about 5-10 minutes until the ready light indicator turns on, signaling that it's ready for use.
Ensure the grill is unplugged and cooled down. Remove the grill plates and wash them with warm soapy water or place them in the dishwasher if they are dishwasher-safe. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or metal scouring pads.
To prevent sticking, lightly coat the grill plates with cooking oil or non-stick spray before preheating. Additionally, ensure the grill is adequately preheated before placing food on it.
If the grill is not heating, check the power connection and ensure the outlet is functioning. Inspect the temperature control settings and make sure they are set correctly. If the problem persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support.
It is recommended to use wooden or silicone utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating on the grill plates. Metal utensils can scratch and reduce their longevity.
After cleaning and drying the grill, wrap the power cord around the designated area or secure it with a cord tie. Store the grill in a dry place, preferably in an upright position to save space.
If smoke is emitted, ensure that excess grease has not accumulated in the drip tray and that the grill plates are clean. Also, check that the food isn't too greasy and that the grill is not set at an excessively high temperature.
Clean the drip tray after each use to prevent grease buildup and maintain hygiene. Allow it to cool before removing, then wash with warm soapy water.
While it is possible to grill frozen food, it is recommended to thaw the food first for more even cooking. Grilling from frozen may require a longer cooking time and could result in uneven texture.
To ensure even cooking, evenly distribute food across the grill plates without overcrowding. Close the lid and allow the grill to maintain consistent contact with the food. Flip items halfway through the cooking process if necessary.
