A squealing noise during startup can be caused by a worn or loose serpentine belt. Inspect the belt for wear and tension, and replace it if necessary. If the noise persists, the issue might be with the belt tensioner or pulleys.
To improve fuel efficiency, ensure your tires are properly inflated, follow regular maintenance schedules, remove unnecessary weight from the vehicle, and drive at moderate speeds. Using cruise control on highways can also help maintain a steady speed and conserve fuel.
