To set up your Karcher HD 1.8/13 C Ed, first connect the high-pressure hose to the machine and the spray gun. Then, attach the appropriate nozzle for your cleaning task. Make sure the water supply is connected and turned on. Finally, plug the unit into a power source and turn it on.
Ensure that the water supply is fully open and the hose is not kinked. Check the inlet filter for any blockages and clean if necessary. Also, inspect the nozzle for clogs and clean it with the nozzle cleaning tool provided.
Regular maintenance should be performed after every 50 hours of use. This includes checking and cleaning the filter, inspecting hoses and connections, and lubricating any moving parts as needed.
The Karcher HD 1.8/13 C Ed is designed for use with cold water. Using hot water may damage the unit and void the warranty.
Check that the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the water supply is connected and turned on. Verify that the safety lock on the spray gun is not engaged. If the unit still does not start, inspect the fuse and replace if necessary.
To winterize, drain all water from the unit by running it without the water supply connected until no water exits. Disconnect and drain the hoses and spray gun. Store the unit in a dry, frost-free environment.
Pulsing can occur if there is air in the system or if the water supply is restricted. Check for leaks in the hose and ensure the water flow is adequate. Bleed air from the system by pressing the trigger on the spray gun until a steady stream of water flows.
Use only detergents specifically designed for pressure washers. Karcher offers a range of cleaning solutions that are safe and effective for various surfaces. Avoid using bleach or harsh chemicals as they may damage the unit.
To replace the nozzle, turn off the unit and disconnect the spray gun from the high-pressure hose. Pull back on the quick-connect collar of the spray gun and remove the existing nozzle. Insert the new nozzle and push it in until it clicks securely.
Inspect all connections to ensure they are tight and not damaged. Check the hoses for any signs of wear or cracks. Examine the pump and seals for leaks, and replace any defective parts if necessary.
