To set up the Karcher BD 30/4 C for the first use, ensure all components are assembled as per the user manual. Charge the batteries fully, fill the fresh water tank with a suitable cleaning solution, and verify the squeegee and brushes are properly attached.
If the machine is not starting, check that the battery is fully charged and properly connected. Ensure the emergency stop button is not activated and inspect all fuses. If the issue persists, consult the troubleshooting section of the manual.
To optimize cleaning performance, regularly check and replace worn brushes and squeegees. Use the recommended cleaning solutions and adjust the brush pressure according to the floor type. Regular maintenance will also enhance performance.
Routine maintenance includes daily cleaning of the tank and squeegee, checking brush wear, and inspecting hoses and seals for leaks. Monthly checks should include battery condition and charging system inspection.
Streaks may occur if the squeegee is worn or incorrectly adjusted. Ensure it is clean and properly aligned. Also, check the cleaning solution concentration and the condition of the brushes.
To change the brushes, turn off the machine and disconnect the battery. Lift the brush cover, release the brush locking mechanism, and remove the old brushes. Attach the new brushes and secure them before closing the cover.
Ensure the machine is operated on flat surfaces and avoid using it on inclines. Always wear appropriate PPE, and do not operate the machine near flammable substances. Disconnect the battery before performing maintenance.
Maximize battery life by charging the battery fully before use and avoiding partial charges. Store the machine in a cool, dry place and perform regular battery maintenance checks.
If water is not being picked up, check the squeegee blade for wear and ensure it is properly adjusted. Verify that the vacuum hose is not clogged and the recovery tank is not full.
When storing, clean out the tanks and dry the machine. Store it in a dry, frost-free location. Disconnect the battery if storing for extended periods, and ensure the machine is secured to prevent accidental movement.
